What we do
GlowPal is two things. The website you're reading publishes ingredient-level education: what actually works for acne, hyperpigmentation, dryness, and the other concerns most skincare buyers face. The companion app (coming soon) turns that knowledge into a personalized morning and night routine, tracks skin readings via your camera, and surfaces products from the most popular online skincare retailers that match your skin type and budget.
Our editorial approach
Every article on this site traces to peer-reviewed dermatology research. The Glow Table aggregates 521 verified citations across 12 source databases: PubMed and Cochrane (international), the Korean Citation Index (KCI) and Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), J-Stage (Japan), CNKI and Wanfang (China), the Société Française de Dermatologie / Annales de Dermatologie (France), and the EU's Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) + the US Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) cosmetic-safety panels.
We name authors. We cite years and journals. We flag when evidence is strong vs. emerging. See our methodology for the full breakdown.
How we fund the work
Premium subscriptions in the iOS app, plus affiliate links across our four retail partners. Affiliate relationships never influence which ingredients we recommend. Those come straight from the cited research. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
Editorial team
GlowPal is run by a small editorial team focused on rigor over volume. We publish slowly on purpose. Want to write for us? Get in touch.
